It was a wet and windy Saturday morning and we were attempting to raise money for a new village hall.   All proceeds from our sponsored car wash would go the Arrochar and Tarbet Community Development Trust.

The Trust have been campaigning for many years and they have successfully generated over £1M through grants, trust fund donations and local fundraising.    We were delighted to offer our support.   

Although the weather was terrible and we were going to get wet no matter what, there was a fantastic turn out of scouts, cubs and beavers, and plenty of adult support.   Armed with hoses, buckets, sponges and towels we tackled our first customer - a vehicle from the Ministry of Defence Police.  

We were busy all morning and ended up washing over 30 cars.    In two hours we had raised £150.    Well done everyone.
