With arrival of the better weather we decided to freshen up the flower tubs and planters at Arrochar Parish Church and at The Pit Stop communty diner.
When we rekindled Arrochar Scouts a few years ago we had no where to hold our weekly troop meetings. Both organisations generously granted free use of their facilities and,so, maintaining the flower displays is our way of saying thank you.
We smartened up 7 tubs in total. In a few weeks the bedding plants will have started to bloom and the tubs will be really attractive. In addition to getting "kids outdoors", we ticked losts of boxes in respect of good citizenship, social responsibility, community, environment, faith and hobbies.
Thanks also to The Viking Shore Trust for entrusting us with the remainder of their funds. We will continue to use the money to clean the beach and improve the village environment.
