Teams of 4 Cub Scouts walk (with adult supervision) using map, compass & given grid references at each check point after completing a 10 minute task. They carry basic hike kit & are given points accordingly with penalty point deducted for overdua arrivals at points. A great event with approx 14 teams due to enter this year. supported by many other members of the District to ensure safety throughout. The route (if they don't get lost!) is usually about 9 miles. This has been running for 13 years with 1 group holding title every year until last year when beaten for first time. So the challenge is on!
