During our week based at Burg Rieneck in Germany Cub Scouts and Scouts from Nailsworth and Wycliffe Scout Groups in Stroud and Tetbury District in Gloucestershire enjoyed many outdoor activities including:
A walk around the historic part of Frankfurt before travelling on to Rieneck by train.
A walk around the village of Rieneck (where we were staying) following a picture quiz.
A hike through the Spassart Forest which started in dry whether, but ended in the snow!
A day exploring the city of Wurzburg, including a hike up to the fort (pictured)
A day of outdoor challenges, games and activities around the castle grounds based on the theme of a Knights Tournament
A day exploring the town of Lohr following a town trail around the historic parts of the town
A camp fire in the grounds of the castle
