Lots to do outdoors

Night Hawks Explorer Scouts in Wiltshire, spent last week's meeting outdoors building a crane from a load of wooden poles all lashed together with rope (pioneering).

This week we're outside having a traditional Scout Camp Fire as our oldest member is leaving us to go to Scout Network, so we're having an outdoor party! The camp fire will be burning wood which we cut down back in the autumn during a day outdoors doing gardening and building maintenance work at our headquarters.

Next week we are going on a night hike to a local view point. It'll be about 4 miles walking each way, and we'll be taking light weight cookers so we can do some outdoor cooking half way through. Soup tastes so much better after a good walk!

During half term week, we're doing a day hike.

Who wants to stay inside?
