I jumped fully clothed into a lake at Alton Water in Suffolk. It was pretty cold. We were doing sailing, which I had never done before. By the end of the day I’d got the hang of it and didn’t want to get out. It really helped that we had a friendly instructor who went through everything at just the right pace.
