The Hike in a nutshell

  • A friendly competition hike with certificates, prizes and trophies
  • Usually takes place in late winter or early spring

Three events for three different age groups:

  • Scout Event : 25km exclusively for members of Berkshire's Scout section aged 10-14;
  • Explorer Event : 45km for all Explorer Scouts 13½-17
  • Classic Event : 70km for any Adults 15½ and over
  • Classic Event open to non-Scout teams too!

About the event:

  • Walking as Teams of three
  • Full first aid cover, lunch and evening meals & retirement transport support on the day
  • Overnight accommodation available Friday and Saturday
